In an age where there is a crisis of confidence in those who lead us, we are working to raise up servants who lead in the image of Christ at home, in the church or society, so that all may flourish according to God's design.
Our mission depends on it
We are called to bring the wonder of Jesus to the world He loves. We do this by multiplying churches and making disciples, reaching generations and blessing Glossop. All this depends upon us raising up and releasing leaders at every level of church life.
Our situation demands it
We have never spent so much money, time and resource on raising leaders and yet we have never had such a crisis of trust in those who lead us. Something must change. We believe that raising Christ-like leaders who share God's vision and reflect His character will lead to flourishing families, businesses, charities, local communities, and churches (the list goes on).
The scriptures call us to it
God's great plan of redemption has always included people who lead. In creation He designed humanity to be stewards who ruled in His image so that all creation would flourish. Throughout the scriptures God raises up leaders who help lead His people into His promises. At the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus sends His disciples into all the earth, to lead in His image and to reveal His goodness to the whole world.
Raising and releasing leaders has always been an essential part of God's masterplan.
The most effective place for raising leaders is in the firey crucible of leading. That said, our leadership pathway offers input to equip and develop leaders. We take time to identify our leaders and look to put them on a personalised path of development based on their giftings, passions and sense of calling.
Chrysalis is our ministry discernment process. Along with a small group of others it is an opportunity for you to discern what God is leading you to do in this season of your life.
We believe when your God-given passions, personality, giftings, capacity and sense of calling are all aligned it leads to a fulfilling and purposeful life of service.
School of Theology is for people who are hungry to deepen their understanding of the bible and ground their life in God's wisdom. We believe all leaders should be rooted in the scriptures and understand how the word of God connects with the world He loves.
Once a month on a Saturday morning we meet at the Nazarene Theological College in Manchester for a deep dive into a particular book of the bible, biblical theme or contemporary issue. The course can be a pathway into further accredited study.
So often in our lives it can feel like we are caught up in a firestorm of reactivity (just take a few minutes on social media and you'll know what we mean). Even our leaders seem to get caught up in it.
The MA Cohort focuses less on leadership skill and more on leadership presence. It provides tools to help you cultivate a non-anxious presence in a highly reactive world. It's goal is to help people be more deeply shaped by the gospel and more connected to their most precious relationships, to God, to others and to themselves.
Elim Leaders Summit is an opportunity for leaders to go away, be inspired, engage with the wider Elim movement, receive ministry and deepen relationships with one another.
